Hotel Posada La Pastora, Uncastillo, Zaragoza, Aragon

  • Hotel Posada La Pastora

The 2 star Hotel Posada La Pastora is a 18th Century old village house located behind the Romanesque church of Santa Marta, in the the heart of the medieval town of Uncastillo. The inn has been completely renovated by owners Inma and Miguel.

The main entrance exhibits a stone floor which resembles the one at the neighbouring Santa Maria square. At the ground floor you can find the dinning room, furnished with ceramic and wood tables where breakfast is served in front of a roaring log fire, do not miss the local cakes. There is also a cosy lounge with beam above and terracotta beneath. Walls leave a leading role to the old stone which stands out against the rest of the wall painted in pastel colour.

The rooms are named after a church of the village. We have to highlight that despite being small they are tastefully decorated: wrought-iron headboard, matching prints, dried flowers, antique washbasin, equipped with television and music and painted ones in blue, red and others in green. Owners hospitality is remarkable. For Romanesque lovers this is place where to set off. Only in the village there are 6 Romanesque churches and a castle from the 12th century.

The owners hospitality is memorable. For Romanesque lovers this is an exciting place to visit--there are 6 Romanesque churches in the village and a castle from the 12th century. The interesting inn is located 105 km. from Zaragoza and 87 km. from Pamplona. There are nine double rooms. Inma and Miguel are wonderful hosts and are passionate about the history and beauty of Uncastillo. There are two very pleasant little restaurants within minutes of the Posada la Pastora.
