Home » Samaritana Fountain
This fountain, originally situated in the Plaza de la Seo, was designed as a water supply point and as an ornamental element, which emphasised the importance of this historical urban space: its move to its present location dates from the sixties. It was cast in the Averly workshops following French models. The figure of the Samaritan represents the christianisation of a pagan theme of great tradition in French Romantic and Neoclassis fountains: the nymph pouring water from an amphora.
