Forum of Caesaraugusta Museum

This archaeological area of the Forum of Caesaraugusta Museum offers us a vision of the daily life in the city during the period of its foundation by the Romans (between 19 and 14 B.C). These archaeological remains pertain to a market of the period of Emperor Augustus and the town forum, built in the time of Tiberius.

This permanent exhibition, excavated in the Plaza de La Seo between 1988-1989, allows the visitor to view the remains of the colony of Caesar Augustus (Roman town, founded between which gives Zaragoza its name). In addition, several archaeological artefacts found during the digging, such as glass, coins and ceramics, are exhibited in display cases. The unassuming trapezoid on Plaza La Seo is the entrance to the museum. Other important remains can be seen in the Roman Public Baths, the River Port and Theatre Museums.
