This activity involves overcoming the difficulties offered by the narrowest parts of a river: waterfalls, ledges, kettles, tight corridors, etc. by means of jumping, rappelling, swimming, diving or walking along the river course. This activity requires extensive knowledge about the area and about the specific canyoning techniques. Therefore, if we don’t have a lot of experience we will need the help of specialised guides, who will make us get more enjoyment out of the beauty of the scenery that we are going to find. The Aragonese geography is scored with many canyons, but the Pyrenees, Sierra de Guara, the Fuertos de Beceite or Javalambre are the most typical and spectacular enclaves to be able to practise this activity.
