Hotel Monasterio de Rueda
This ancient former Cistercian monastery has been fully renovated to provide a luxurious and tranquil retreat by the banks of the River Ebro.
Originally dating from the 12th century, when the Cistercian order was granted the land by the King of Aragon, the ornate buildings of the monastery were converted to an exclusive hotel in 2003.
It occupies a secluded spot between the towns of Sastago and Escatron, one hour from Zaragoza. Wondering through the ancient cloisters and vaulted halls will give you a true sense of history. After a relaxing day in the atmospheric surroundings you can enjoy an exquisite meal of fresh Aragonese produce in the à la carte restaurant.
